How does usb programming cable work ?
Share
A USB programming cable allows radios that use RS232 (a standard for serial communication) to interface with a computer through a USB port.
When the cable is connected, the USB side communicates with the computer through the USB port. The computer recognizes the cable as a virtual COM (serial) port, and programming software on the computer can send and receive data through this virtual COM port as if it were communicating with a native serial port.
